The Chattanooga Football Club announced the return of midfielder Alex Jaimes for his second season. The former NC State standout had a strong rookie season in Chattanooga and appeared in 22 games and started in 6.
His debut as a pro occurred on April 20 in the Third Round of the US Open Cup against Atlanta United from the MLS. He scored his first professional goal and first goal for CFC on the road at Flower City Union.
While his full name is Alex Jaimes Hernandez, he wears Jaimes on his jersey and is known as Ale.
Prior to CFC, Jaimes was a USL2 National Finalist with North Carolina Fusion in 2021.
Prior to completing his collegiate career at NC State, Jaimes played his first two seasons at Appalachian State where he found great success. He had a stellar freshman season playing in all 17 matches with App State. As a sophomore (2019), he led the squad in goals, finding the back of the net 5 times and tallying one assist.
While in high school, Jaimes was invited to the U.S. Soccer National Training Center all four seasons.
