ABOUT JOHN

Chattanooga Football Club signed defender John Partida for the 2023 season.

"Tida", as he's known, joins the club from Northern Colorado Hailstorm in the USL League One. Before joining Hailstorm, he was with Bay Cities FC in the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA). Partida played the full 90' in Bay Cities' upset up of USL Championship side Monterey Bay FC in the Second Round of the 2022 US Open Cup. He lists that as his favorite soccer memory so far. One week later, he was in the starting lineup for the Third Round match won by MLS side San Jose Earthquakes.

It was a familiar club for Partida, as he played his youth career with the San Jose Earthquakes Academy and was part of the third-ranked U18 team in the country.

"It means a lot to me being a part of such a well-known and historic club," said Partida about joining CFC.

"A lot of excitement and motivation to show out for such a community supported and focused club like Chattanooga. I feel excited to get to involved with community. I’ve always liked giving back and gaining relationships with locals of the cities that I play for."

The native of Newark, California played his college career with the San Jose State University Spartans. He played 3,905 minutes in 55 appearances over his three years with the school.

Partida got his start as a pro with LA Force (NISA) in 2020 before going to Bay Cities FC in 2022. Northern Colorado signed him in late September 2022.

Annual passes for the 2023 season Chattanooga FC Men’s team and Chattanooga FC Women’s team are on sale at CFCTIX.com.
