Nadiia Ivanchenko brings more international championship experience to Chattanooga Football Club for the 2023 campaign.
A standout for the Ukrainian National Team, Ivanchenko moved to the U.S. and played college soccer with Southeast Missouri State before transferring to Truett McConnell University. She most recently played in the USL-W League in 2022 for Peachtree City MOBA in Atlanta.
"It means a lot to be a part of Chattanooga FC," said Ivanchenko. "It means that I will put 101% effort each session and each game. It means that I will do my best to help the team perform on the field."
Ivanchenko played for the boys team Lokomotyv Lviv for eight years as a youth, collecting numerous honors including top scorer, top midfielder, and and best forward in that time.
She transferred to the women’s team FC Lviv in 2018, where she became the youngest player to score in the Championship of Ukraine. She represented Lviv at the WU-14, WU-15, WU-16, WU-17 Championships and tabbed best player at the Championships each year.
She earned her first call-up for the Ukrainian National Team at the age of 13. In 2019, her goal against Serbia was named best goal among men’s and women’s soccer teams in Ukraine in 2019.
As a member of the 2017 Championship team, she advanced to the semifinals for the Cup of Ukraine. She helped WU-17 national team advance in Euros for the first time.
Ivanchenko says he looks forward to plugging into Chattanooga's club this summer.
"I feel comfortable with being involved in the community," said Ivanchenko. "I think soccer is not just a game and building relationships with people is very important."
