Chattanooga FC and Maryland Bobcats FC last faced each other on August 21 at Finley Stadium. That was the home debut of new signee Daniel Jackson who netted two goals in the 3-0. Captain Juan Hernandez scored the other.
Chattanooga Football Club plays in the third tier of professional soccer in the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA). Founded in 2009, it became the first soccer club to offer true ownership to the fans in 2019 with 3,200+ investors from Chattanooga, all 50 states, and 31 countries. CFC made the move to pro in 2020. It has called Finley Stadium in downtown Chattanooga its home since the beginning.
Ten professional clubs from east to west coach make up the National Independent Soccer Association. 1904 FC (San Diego), Cal United Strikers FC (Orange County, CA), CFC, Chicago House AC, Detroit City FC, Los Angeles Force, Maryland Bobcats FC (Boyds, MD outside of DC), Michigan Stars FC (Detroit), New Amsterdam FC (Warwick, NY), Stumptown AC(Charlotte). The Fall 2021 season format will include 10 home games and 10 away games with each team playing each other twice. Wins count for 3 points, ties count as 1 point, and zero points for a loss. The team with the most points at the end of November will be NISAFall Champions.
