Overall Record 2021 (Win-Tie-Loss)
CFC (7-3-9) vs. Atletico Atlanta (4-1-1)

Chattanooga FC experimented with some different players in different position in their last match on Wednesday night. Now just three days later, they look to knock off a worthy opponent from a couple hours down the road. CFC is one of four teams in the southeast region of this summer’s Independent Cup tournament. They play each of the three opponents once for the chance to win the region.

Atletico Atlanta General Manager Joao Garcia said he’s looking forward to the trip.

We are especially excited to play against Chattanooga, which is a big one here in our area,” said Garcia. “They have a great atmosphere in their stadium. It’s a beautiful stadium, with a city who just loves that team. So we are really excited about the trip to Chattanooga and to get to play against a professional team. I think that will be a highlight of our time in the Independent Cup.”

Atletico Atlanta plays in the UPSL, which includes more than 300 pro development teams in the country. Atletico Atlanta went undefeated in 2020 to claim the UPSL National Championship. This matchup is the first game for both teams in the NISA Independent Cup, which is a summer tournament that provides competition to professional and amateur sides. Tickets are available now at CFCTIX.com. All seats are reserved seating on the south side of the stadium (home).
