The stable of boys in blue continues to grow as Chattanooga Football Club announces the signing of goalkeeper Alec Redington to the 2020 squad. The Missouri native will spend his first professional season of soccer in the Scenic City, and the club is excited to have him aboard.
“This has been a dream come true signing my first professional contract” said Redington. “I’m looking forward to starting my career here in Chattanooga.”
Redington turned heads quickly in St. Louis in a short amount of time. Last year, after redshirting a year with UNC Charlotte, the goalkeeper allowed only one goal in five matches with St. Louis Community College for a goals against average of .039.
Alec is entering his first year with Chattanooga FC” said Peter Fuller, Head Coach, Chattanooga FC. “I’m very glad to have him. He comes from a good college program at UNC Charlotte and has an excellent background growing up in St. Louis, a hotbed of soccer!”
Supporters will get their first chance to see Alec in action on February 29th in Oakland against Oakland Roots. Chattanooga FC’s NISA home opener is set for Saturday March 14th, against Michigan Stars, and the full Spring schedule is out now. Annual passes are available now at ChattanoogaFC.com, and individual tickets go on sale February 24th.
