With the NISA Spring regular season just a few weeks away, Chattanooga Football Club announces additions to its schedule for the 2020 season. These additional matchups will see old rivalries rekindled, new rivalries born, and a whole lot of soccer for the Scenic City. The best part? Each HOME match is included as part of the 2020 Annual Pass.

The Chattanooga FC Summer schedule kicks off on the road against NPSL powerhouse and reigning conference champions Little Rock Rangers on June 10th. Little Rock will return the favor and visit Finley Stadium Saturday, July 22nd.

“Now that CFC is a professional squad this makes the series even more exciting” said Jonathan Wardlaw, President & General Manager, Little Rock Rangers. “The fact that they are willing to come to us is such an honor, and I’m just so appreciative of them giving our players and fans a home game. I hope we can create a rowdy atmosphere and give them a match to remember.”

July 1st will mark the return of AFC Mobile to Finley Stadium for the second chapter of the MoonPie Match, where the winner will take home the heralded “MoonPie Belt.” Last year, Chattanooga FC won the belt in decisive fashion, and Mobile will be looking for revenge.

“We’re excited to compete against a professional club of the caliber of Chattanooga FC, and to renew this friendly rivalry for the second year running” said Sean Landry, AFC Mobile Board Member. “We’ve enjoyed following along and working with Coach Fuller and all the folks at CFC as both clubs take the next step forward – CFC into NISA, and AFC Mobile into the NPSL. We’re looking forward to a competitive match, and the chance to bring home the best rivalry trophy in American soccer.”

Two weeks later, July 15th, UPSL club Savannah Clovers will visit the Scenic City. Founded in 2016, the Clovers have a rapidly growing fan base and will bring a high octane team to “Fort” Finley Stadium. Both teams are exploring dates to bring Chattanooga FC to Savannah as well.

“Chattanooga Football Club is the standard bearer for hundreds of Clubs across the country for how community support and strategic vision can properly build a successful team, in any sport, from the ground up,” said Savannah Clovers Co-Owner Jef Thiffault. “We are thrilled for the opportunity to play at Chattanooga Football Club and to continue the supportive relationship between our teams.”

Heading into August, Chattanooga FC is thrilled to welcome Crescent City FC to town. Crescent City, founded in 2015, joined the GCPL in 2020 and pride themselves on developing local talent into the highest quality players in the nation.

We’re very excited about the opportunity to share the field with such a storied club” said Jonathan Rednour, General Manager, Crescent City FC. “CFC has been at the forefront for independent club success and have become a great model for other clubs, like ourselves, to try and emulate. As we’re trying to jump start our own grassroots approach here in New Orleans, developing a relationship with clubs like CFC will only benefit us and our approach on giving our city a true independent club culture.”

It’s shaping up to be a busy summer for the boys in blue, and an exciting time to be supporting Chattanooga’s Football Club.

“It is exciting for us to announce our full schedule of matches here this summer that will see a number of familiar faces come to Finley and a few new ones as well” said Jeremy Alumbaugh, Managing Director, Chattanooga FC. “CFC has been trying to play Little Rock Rangers for a few years now, and we finally secured a home and home with them which is very exciting. Savannah Clovers and Crescent City are clubs that are on a very similar path to CFC and we are pleased to help them continue and find their way through the soccer landscape in the United States. Having AFC Mobile coming back to Finley for the Moon Pie Match will give our fans and supporters a familiar foe as well. Adding these matches to our 18 match 2020 Annual Pass schedule gives everyone another reason to be anxious for the 2020 season to begin.”
