Alec McKinley returns to the 2021 Chattanooga FC squad by way of West Palm Beach, Florida. He started off his career with the Portland Timbers youth academy and later led his college team far into the NAIA playoffs. After college, McKinley went on the play for Reading United AC before we swooped in and picked him up for the 2020 season.

Alec topped off his 2020 CFC season with 5 appearances for a total of 310 minutes and 2 game changing assists during the Indy Cup. He showed a particular penchant for playing the long ball and winning headers.

Head coach Fuller is excited about his return because after picking up an early injury in 2020, McKinley missed out on the rest of the season:

“Alec got off to a great start for us last season during the independent cup but an injury during the first game of the NISA portion of the season nagged at him for the rest of the fall. He is a good young player with great potential.”

As one of the younger players on the squad, Alec has displayed great potential, and we look forward to seeing what he brings to the table in 2021!
