The NPSL honored two Chattanooga Football Club players this week with All-Southeastern Conference awards. Midfielder Fynn Glover, a Chattanooga native, and British goalkeeping sensation Richard Masters were selected by NPSL coaches as tops in the conference. “These two young players deserved this award. They both worked extremely hard all season and we would not have been as successful without them,” said Brian Crossman, Head Coach for Chattanooga. “The club is excited to have two selections on the All-Conference team. I think it’s a great testament to the quality of soccer that was played in Chattanooga this year.”
Fynn Glover was a late commitment for the squad earlier this spring. “I thought I was going to be doing an internship in Toronto for the summer, but then I heard about the team being put together and I was offered a summer job with the STAND campaign, so I decided to come play for the FC,” recalled Fynn about his road to Chattanooga this summer. Fynn is entering his senior year at the University of Richmond where he is the captain of the team. “I feel that CFC has allowed me to regain my drive and ambition to continue competing in this sport for as long as I am able, so I’m also appreciative at many personal levels to have been involved.”
