Chattanooga FC will face one of its biggest tests of the season on Saturday when Michigan Stars visit for a battle between the last two unbeaten teams in the league.

Chattanooga moved its undefeated streak to 11 with a 3-0 win against the LA Force on July 1st.  This Saturday will be the last home game for the Boys in Blue until July 22.

Kickoff between and CFC and Michigan Stars will be Saturday, July 8 at 7:30 p.m. at Finley Stadium.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy the pre-game activities including soccer darts, sidewalk stage performers, and a photo booth!

With the 3-0 win against LA Force, CFC sits comfortably atop the table. But Michigan Stars have only played about half the games so far. There is plenty of soccer to shake out the second half of the season.

SERIES NOTES
This will mark the second time this season that CFC and Michigan Stars go head to head in regular season play.  Last match took place earlier in the season, May 24, when both teams were unable to break through the other's defense in a tight possession battle resulting in the game ending 0-0.

SCOUTING MICHIGAN STARS (3-3-0)
CFC are looking to enter this upcoming stretch of road games with their unbeaten streak intact; however, Michigan stars also have an unbeaten streak they are looking to hold onto. With 3 wins and 3 draws Michigan Stars will look to survive against the league leaders this weekend.

Michigan Stars are known for their physical play, hunkering down defensively, and quick counter attacks. This style of play knocked CFC out of the playoffs last October, so the Chattanooga side will want to demonstrate its style of football with sights set on the title again.

Having kept a clean sheet in the last three matches this season, Michigan Stars will be a good test for the CFC attack that currently holds the crown for the most dangerous attack in the league this season with a 20 goals tally.

Michigan Player to Watch: Tatenda Mkuruva #16
Tatenda Mkuruva is a 27 year old goalkeeper who lost the statistical battle for the Golden Glove last year. The award ultimately went to Jean Antoine, who was signed by CFC for the 2023 season.

CFC Player to Watch: Jesus Ibarra #54
Welcome to Chattabooga Jesus Ibarra: CFC’s latest signing, Jesus Ibarra, saw the field for the first time at Fort Finley with a 64th minute sub. Ibarra is a pacey forward who will look to help the Boys in Blue challenge for the title this season.

Coach Rod Underwood's Take: “It is always exciting playing a good opponent and we are looking forward to getting out there and showcasing our talent and abilities. Hopefully this leads us in the direction we want to go as we look forward.”

Big Brothers Big Sisters: This week's Cause of the Match is Big Brothers Big Sisters. Big Brothers Big Sisters is a one-on-one friendship and mentoring program for young people. The programs allows “Bigs” to take their “Littles” out to do fun activities, help with homework and even just hangout!  CFC will donate a portion of tickets to this community group.

Montague Park: Come say hi to the Montague Park folks this weekend on the concourse and fill out a survey to have your voice heard regarding the future of the park. They will be giving out information regarding the new CFC Foundation project. Come share your thoughts and ideas with the team today!
