Chattanooga's three major sports organizations will team up to welcome students back to campus this week.

Chattanooga Football Club, Chattanooga Lookouts, and UTC Mocs are ready to welcome back the Mocs throng. The trio represents the best of the sports entertainment options in the Tennessee Valley and have a special event planned to welcome home returning students as well as introduce themselves to the new.

Coca-Cola is sponsoring the welcome event on Tuesday, August 22. The fan fest type gathering is from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., on Chamberlain Field in the center of campus. There are free t-shirts for the first 500 students as well as other giveaways throughout the event.

The Lookouts, CFC and the multiple Mocs athletic squads will be on hand for meet and greets. Activities aplenty as well with ice cold Coca-Cola to tie it all in the perfect bow.

"We're excited to join with community partners like the Lookouts and CFC," Vice-Chancellor for Athletics Mark Wharton shared. "It will be a fantastic opportunity for our students to meet our athletes as well as the finest professionals in the city. CFC is the standard in their league, and the Lookouts won the first half of theirs and always put on a good show.

"We look forward to meeting students new and old and make connections that bring our campus and community even closer together."

The Mocs 2023 football schedule includes five homes games with visits from Kennesaw State, The Citadel, Western Carolina, ETSU and Furman.

Next chance to see the Lookouts? They're at home August 22-27 with another Friday Fireworks foray into the Scenic City skies on Friday the 25th hosting the Tennessee Smokies. The Lookouts have 18 former players currently on the Reds major league roster.

CFC is home for its next three Fort Finley fixtures hosting Apotheos FC (Aug. 24), L.A. Force (Sept. 3), and Gold Star Detroit (Oct. 1).
