Chattanooga Football Club welcomes Richard Dixon back to the club for his third season in 2023.
Dixon wore the captain's arm band in 2022 and earned NISA Best XI Second Team honors for the second consecutive year. He logged more than 2,300 minutes in 2022 and started in 26 games.
Prior to joining CFC, Dixon played 6 seasons in USL Championship and one season in USL League 1. Before turning pro he was part of the Jamaica Youth National Team. He was invited to Copa America and the Gold Cup with the Jamaican National Team.
"Being on the outside looking in a little over 10 years ago I have seen this club grown and have done some amazing things in American soccer," said Dixon. "It is an honor to be a small part of the story of this club and I hope that I can continue to add to the club's legacy in the professional game."
Dixon, who also coaches in the CFC Academy, is heavily involved in the community.
"The game and people with it has thought me a lot of life lessons that are fundamental to who I am today," added Dixon. "A part of mission as an ambassador of the sport is to always pay it forward to the next generation whether it is through coaching, community involvement or just having a simply conversation. The fact that the club has a similar mission was what attracted me to the club in the first place so I know I am in the right place."
Annual passes for the 2023 season Chattanooga FC Men’s team and Chattanooga FC Women’s team are on sale at CFCTIX.com.
