2018 is Daniel's first season with Chattanooga FC. He is a center midfielder from Heredia, Costa Rica, where he attended the Saprissa Academy, one of the top clubs Costa Rica. He went to high school at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL, scoring 11 goals and getting 13 assists for the IMG PDL team in 2014. He joined Dalton State College in 2016, playing in all 14 games, starting 11, and helping the program to the SSAC Final (NAIA). Daniel was Dalton’s leading goal-scorer with 10 goals, notching 2 assists, being named the SSAC Offensive Player of the Week on two occasions, and SSAC All-Freshman Team. He has also played for the U17 and U20 Costa Rican National Teams.
