A three-time NAIA Coach of the Year, Fuller is the only coach to garner NAIA National Coach of the Year honors at two different institutions; one in 1992 with Belhaven College and two at Mobile in 1999 and 2002.
With a career that includes winning an NAIA national championship with Belhaven in 1992 and taking Houghton College to the NAIA national quarterfinals in 1994, Fuller arrived at Mobile in 1995 and in 2002 captured his second NAIA national championship, with current Revolution goalkeepers coach Remi Roy on his staff as an assistant coach. Roy was also an All-America goalkeeper for Fuller at Mobile from 1997-99 before beginning his 10-year assistant coaching career under Fuller.
Twice Fuller earned NAIA All-America honors as a defender and midfielder for Houghton College. Fuller was then selected by the New York Eagles of the American Soccer League with its first draft selection, and later played professionally for the Rochester Flash, Memphis Americans, Sports Life and Jackson Rockers.
Fuller earned bachelor’s degrees in physical education from Belhaven College and religion from Bethany Bible College. Fuller attained a "B" License from Canada’s National Institute of Coaching in 1988.
